Thirty years of consultative sales and knocking all thousands of doors taught me something. Everyone hates a cold call. But the most coveted sales event is the face to face meeting with a company decision maker. In the end people by from people and the more expensive the product and or service the greater the demand for personnel interface.

No solicitation signs are nothing more than a motivation for a good sales representative. As a seasoned sales rep if I cannot get in the front door, I will try the back door. If that fails, I’ll call the AR department, they always take calls, or the HR department and try to get the best contact’s name and number. Somehow, someway I will penetrate all barriers and get to the decision maker. Good businesses want to present their services and or products, and although ancient in methodology, cold calling is still one of the best ways to procure new business.
